Vlach, who is professor of Theology at The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley California, recently spoke at the STS Fall Colloquium on the topic of Supersessionism–does the church replace, supersede, or fulfill the nation of Israel in God’s plan, or will Israel be saved and restored with a unique identity and role?

Cary housing market becoming more affordable
Raleigh-Cary ranked nation’s healthiest

The Triangle, no stranger to being ranked at or near the top of various “Best of” lists, has a new accolade: healthiest housing market.

Builder Magazine has named the Raleigh-Cary area the healthiest of the 100 largest U.S. housing markets. Durham-Chapel Hill ranked third, behind No. 2 Austin, Texas.

Family Retreat and Chapel

Join Shepherds Theological Seminary students, faculty and their families at this year’s Family Retreat and Chapel for a time of fun, food and worship. Please come on Saturday, September 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Seaforth Shelter at Lake Jordan (click the link for a map to the shelter). Lunch will be served (hot dogs and hamburgers cooked by two seminary student chefs!), games, a nearby playground for the kids and a special chapel service led by Shepherds alum Robert Stansberry. Take a break by the lake as we pause from our busy work and study schedules to relax, reflect and rejoice in our God. We have the shelter reserved for STS all day, so feel free to come early or stay late.

So we can make sure we have enough food and planned activities, please RSVP by Tuesday, September 21 to June Volstad at the Seminary, and let us know how many guests will be joining you. First meeting

Our theme this year is “Serving Together” from Romans 12:4-15. In ministry, we serve together with our husbands, with our families, and with other people in our churches. To help us practically learn how to minister together, we are forming “Teams” this year. Working in teams will give each of us an opportunity to be a part of serving, while learning many practical and helpful ways to organize committees, lead a group, and minister together with fellow Christians for God’s glory.

Mark your calendars and come join us Wednesday September 8 at 6:15 p.m. for a wonderful evening of fellowship as we catch up with each other, and welcome our new student wives to SWF!!
